When did you stop working when pregnant?

I am between 35-37 weeks pregnant. According to my ultrasound last week I am 37, but the one I had Jan. 31st would put me at 35 weeks. I have been substitute teaching and I plan on working at my old flower shop next week for Mother's Day. I plan on sitting and making corsages the whole time (we have prom too next weekend) and taking it as easy as possible. When did you all stop working? Am I crazy? I have been having those low sharp contractions every once in a while but I still think I have a few weeks before she comes. We need the money and my husband hasn't objected. I just don't want to look like a bad parent.

When did you stop working when pregnant?
Oh your fine...you can work up until you have the baby...for me I have had pregnancy problems...like preterm labor and such, so i have stopped at around 35 weeks, but it is all up to the person and I dont know anyone that looks down upon a woman working up until she has her baby!

Good Luck and Congrats!
Reply:If you're comfortable, keep doing as you wish. I don't really have any plans right now. I'm due 12/4, I may stop working around Thanksgiving or 12/1. But it all depends on how things are going at the time.
Reply:when you feel is time.

good luck
Reply:i stoped at 2 months cus morning sickness its never too early
Reply:that sounds ok to me i worked up till my 7 month and im a ups driver.
Reply:With my son, my goal was to stop working 2 weeks before I was due. Turns out, 10 hours after I stopped working, my water broke. :)

With my unborn, they told me they'd induce me 10 days to 1 week before my due date if I haven't given birth yet. So my plan is to stop working 11 days before my due date.

I should probably tell work this. :)
Reply:My delivery was scheduled, so I worked until the day before.
Reply:With my first baby I worked until I got put on bed rest due to blood pressure 1 week before giving birth at 39 weeks pregnant. With my second baby I worked until 2 days before giving birth at 37 weeks pregnant. With my third I had alot to do so I took off 2 weeks before my scheduled c-section at 38 weeks pregnant.
Reply:girl, if u feel that u can do it you;ll be fine...i worked up until the week before i delivered my first son and i was doing housekeeping! theonly problem i had was i bent down between the toilet and tub and was like oh crap i think im stuck lol ...with my second i was off for about 5 weeks before i had him...that pregnancy was hard and i was just toooo lazy :)
Reply:I worked until 4 weeks before my due date, but my daughter was born 2 weeks early. I however, was really sick and having fainting spells.
Reply:With my first and with my third pregnancies I was working the day before my children were born.

With my 2nd I went on leave when I was 32 weeks (I was a surgical tech).
Reply:I worked up to two weeks before giving birth.
Reply:Many people work up until the day they give birth. As long as you are comfortable, I think you should work as long as you can. You would probably rather save your days off for after the baby is born so you can spend more time with him/her before you have to go back to work.
Reply:Hi ! Im due next Saturday and Im still working. Usually if your pregnancy is healthy and the Dr does not see a problem you can work up until you go into labor. Listen to your body, if it says sit then sit.
