Arrested for theft, 1st time ever arrested, what now?

Sunday morning at 5 a.m. - they were not open but I went to a open market flower shop, where I had been the day before and bought flowers. I talked to the manager about coming back in the morning - now he doesn't remember the conversation. Anyway I was arrested and bonded out - but face 2 counts of theft. What do I do now? I am on 3 prescriptions, Ambien to sleep, Effexor for depression, and Levoythroxin for no thyroid.

Reply:Probably what you do is get a lawyer. The thread of you question doesn't seem very logical to me, starting with why would you be purchasing flowers at 5am from a closed business? Next, what is the relationship of your arrest to the medications you take? Your doctor and your lawyer need to talk. Good Luck.
Reply:Your prescriptions don't have anything to do with your arrest. Not unless you're planning some time of insanity plea.



In all honest, those are probably misdemeanor charges. As a first time offender you will likely be given a fine and possibly probation. If you are an otherwise upstanding citizen, it's even possible the charges will be dismissed as long as you make restitution (if applicable).
Reply:try to relax. the most important thing is how your feeling. have the police, a lawyer and family worry about all the legal stuff right now. the most important thing is you emoitonally feeling better.

Reply:By listing your meds are you claiming the drugs made you do it? I heard the "devil made me do it". forget about making excuses. go to court, plead you case respectfully. with no record you will probably only get
