Do you find that roses are too easy to give and require no thought?

I honestly feel that flowers(for most guys) are a thoughtless gift. It's pretty much a programmed gift. Roses have always been that symbol of love and are the flower most given. I hate that. Roses are nice flowers, but i feel the need to put more thought into it. I would rather put alot of thought into it when i give flowers to a girl. I will go back into the coolers at the flowershop and i will pick the flowers to go into the bouquet. I take into consideration the favorite colors of the person i am giving to. i take into consideration the colors of the season. and i even like to go get my own vase to correspond with the colors in the bouquet because the vases at the flower shops are usually plain clear vases. i dont give flowers often because of this feeling that they have become too common a gift and the meaning has kind of been lost. am i the only one that thinks this way? have i given it too much thought?

Depends on how you give them, for instance never ever use roses to apologize for something.

I like how you say you consider the color vase etc. you sound thoughtful and considerate.

I really think it's all about timing, you can not deny the power of a unexpected gift at a unexpected time.

If you are creative you can make something you might think would be thoughtless or easy into something that is touching and always remembered.

Write a love note and place it with a single rose after you have left the house for your partner to find.

Try buying the roses ahead of time and take you partner out for a romantic date then after on the way home surprise them with the flowers and tell them what a great time you had.

Reply:I have a opinion that each flower has some meaning in it.

And color represents the situation and mood of the personality. So there are lots of thought attached with the flowers and When it comes to rose it is extremly difficult to gift it to someone. It has lots of feeling asociated with it.



So better think before gifting a rose to someone.

Reply:You're right... if confirmation is what you're looking for then you've found it... especially roses, it's the default flower for someone to buy when they don't know what the other person's favorites might be.

Reply:I'm kinda like that...I'd want the bouquet I'm giving to be unique and meaningful to the person I'm giving them to. A single rose every now and then makes a thoughtful gift. I'd do the same with not only flowers but other gifts as well.

Reply:I think flowers are a wonderful jester.. My husband buys me, my two favorite flowers every valentines day.. They are yellow roses %26amp; orchids.. He also writes a very sweet letter %26amp; puts it w/ the flowers. Something from him %26amp; something that means something just between us. That way they are personal %26amp; not just brought from the store w/ a corny card..



I suggest finding out what her favorite flower is %26amp; u don't necessarly have to have a dozen or whatever but getting her favorite %26amp; writing a really sweet personal card is the best wayy to go..



Oh %26amp; tip to keeping flowers prettier longer.... Add alil bit of bleach to the water! Works everytime! hehe.. Good Luck

Reply:proball the only one. i mean their thought less if they are shippped by the company straigh to you but if they are hand delivered then it is different.
