I need to get a new phone but dont have the money...?

Well I have a phone now, but it is way to expensive and my dad complains every month when I get the bill. My bill is currently $120 a month, plus the stuff I buy. I have the TILT by AT%26amp;T. I'm thinking about going to the iPhone but for 1, i don't have a job. For 2, I don't have the money. I need the $400 for the phone itself, $175 for the cancellation fee, and about $30 dollars for the start-up fee. The bill for the iPhone is $60 dollars a month. How can I save the money to get the phone, when in my state the only legal place for me to work is at a flower shop. The two flower shops in my town aren't even hiring. What should I do? 0.o

Iphone is an AT%26amp;T phone, so you should not have to cancel your plan to get a new phone. And, how in the heck is your bill 120/month. We have 3 phones and 800 minutes for 90/month.

If you can't afford a new phone, maybe you should spend less than 2000 minutes a month talking on one.

Reply:WHY do you have to have such an expensive phone or even ANY phone at all when you can't even get a job? Are you a selfish little princess or something? And in what state of the US is there a restriction that you can't work anyplace but a flower shop? Your dad should just shut your overused and overcharged phone OFF...there is NO 'right' that says you should have it...for ANY reason. Learn to TALK to the people you need to, face to face! I'll bet your bill is so high because you spend most of the day typing with your thumbs to text complete nonsense to other socially depraved teenagers. At least you DO have an excellent command of the english language, your problem is well written, properly spelled, and fine for grammar...unlike 95% of the un-readable thumb typed garbage other kids keep posting here!
Reply:Resist the desire to live beyond your means. Since when should anyone go into debt to carry around the latest phone? In the scheme of things its just not that important. There are so many phones available right now. What do you use your phone for? Basically the iphone is for impressing people. You could shine in other ways were it's you shining and not some glorified hunk of plastic and metal. You may be able to qualify for an upgrade through your plan. This could get you a newer phone to satisfy this need you seem to have. Save the best phone on the market for when you can afford it.



Also, I don't know anyone who pays that much for a cell bill. What are you doing with it?

Reply:If you dont have the money, why are we having this discussion? At 15 you CAN get a job and it doesn't have to be at a flower shop ... talk to your school's guidance counselor about a work permit and find out who's hiring that they know of.
Reply:AT%26amp;T has the IPhone so why would you have to cancel your plan? When I switched phones with AT%26amp;T, I just signed extended my plan by another 2 years and then I got a discount on my phone for doing that. I think (I'm not positive) that by doing that, you can make minor changes to your phone.



But quit buying all of the extras and maybe your father will help you out with it.



But the Tilt is WAY better than the IPhone. I know this because I had the IPhone for 2 weeks and exchanged it for the Pantech Duo. The IPhone was not all it was cracked upto be.
