Why do girls like flowers?

It doesnt make sense its just a dead funny lookin plant. Yet i gave my girl some flowers and she was like all happy and stuff.



I feel like if their is a god and their is a hell id be sent to spend eternity in a boring flower shop with old grannies making thanksgiving center peices.



The thought sends shivers down my spine.

Why do girls like flowers?
Girls like anything where the men have to spend money. This is proving to the men that we are prostitutes.

Reply:I don't really like flowers. Even the ones in pots with roots and dirt are often too picky for my taste -- either I can't get them to bloom or they die because they invested too much into the stupid flowers.



Can I have a nice, non-flowering potted plant instead? Maybe one with cool-looking leaves? It's probably not going to look yucky in a week.
Reply:Yes. i like flowers. Depends on 'who' giving, and 'why' giving me.

Not flower shops or going to flower garden. It's not that same. It's the meaning behind.

I just think that men are lucky, they can just buy some well packed flowers, and can make their girl friend happy. (but yet , not many able to do that) :(
Reply:They like them because they are pretty and it's an expression of sentiment. I used to work for a florist and I was always amused at guys that would come in. They'd act like it was such a drag to give their wife/gf flowers. I liked the young guys that came in. I cheated on those $6.99 bouquets. I threw a lot more in than I was supposed to. I guess I just want to make people happy.
Reply:I don't like flowers in vases. In the wild, they are beautiful, but a bouquet of flowers costs too much money, will only last a few days before they die. I'd prefer someone to plant a tree for me or somethin than buy me flowers.

Reply:They are pretty and they smell good and every time I look at them it reminds me that someone took the time to pick them out just for me. You don't have to understand it. If it made your girl happy, just keep doing it.
Reply:. For the same reason they like pretty dresses, dolls, playing house, NOT getting dirty, chick flicks, babies and jewelry. They're geared for that stuff.
Reply:Lol Ihope you didn't give her dead flowers! They are very pretty, smell nice and are usually unusual unless you have a lovely garden. I prefer potted flowers though, I've found pansies grow wonderfully in doors.
Reply:Cus they are prettey ? Do you think men always got them gold rings ? For the bigger part of our 10 000 year history women were given flowers to show affection.
