What's the big deal about Valentines Day?

It's just another excuse for greeting card companies, flower shops, and candy stores to make an extra dollar... Why do people give in to that?

What's the big deal about Valentines Day?
being with the same guy for 9 years.....then V-day should be a big deal--Now THATS Love !

Reply:nothing!!! if you would just give flowers and cards and chocolates to your love one one day in a year that could be too much. why not make everyday valentines day....i dont believe in that celebration but my store makes money out of that seasonal day of the hearts.....but in my relationship we dont go out on valentines day there are too many people outside splurging money on their dates
