I need help about moving to New York!!!?

I am planning to move because of a job to New York and looking for some help on where to go for housing as far as website or anything. Where can I find the restaurant listings? BEst places for Pizza(lol,, i know)? Coffee? People watching? Parks? Flower shops? magazine stores? Basically I want to indulge into everything new york has to offer. I would like to know any specialty spots that you found are good places to go. Hangout spots. WHere to meet people? Where to find music? music stores, the people, musicians where they hangout? Where does everyone go in NEw York? What does everyone do in Ney York? Places that you have found as far as stores and hangout places that a normal tourist wouldnt find unless you really looked around. I am talking about stores or places that you found to be almost like secret hotspots. I am so sorry for this long message but I am researching everything before I make my move to new York.
