Buying Roses?

Do flower shops sell roses in winter/fall? If not, what are some nice flowers to give to someone (and they don't have a preference)?



Also, how long will a rose last if I just buy it and leave it outside? For example, if I buy a rose from the store and leave it on the doorstep for about 6-7 hours... will it still be okay, or will it be wilted and ugly?

depending on the weather it will be willted in 7 hours if its perfect weather though it wont be willted at all and it will bloom

yes you can buy roses now they are always in season at the shops

if your surpriseing a girl though you can have the flowers delivered this way she gets them while they are fresh just have the delivery person leave a message with it something like this

"i saw a flower today and thought of your beauty. i thought id send some roses hope its not to fruity"

Put them in a vase or some type of container with water in it. Leave them on the doorstep and they will be good for days.

Reply:most stores sell roses year round. Some seasons they will be higher priced due to supply and demand. They should be ok on the door step for a few hours unless it is just super hot or super cold. To ensure they would be fine take a damp paper towel and wrap around the bottom of the stems. This will help them hold moisture.
