My restaurant resume, hows it sound?

for restaurants in down town seattle

last three months - intern design firm

last six months - restaurant as server in florida

98-2006 - flower shop in iowa

i applied as server or busser. no one is calling back i dropped a grip off and i'm thinking i shouldn't have given em to every restaurant in down town seattle, which i did. and maybe i should of waited and lied. Or maybe i should just be persistent.

My restaurant resume, hows it sound?
Call back and show that you want a job. Restaurant managers always have a lot on their minds, the last of which is looking over an employment application. Call back from 2-4 and if you don't get to speak to a manager, go in and have lunch. Mention something to your server and chances are somebody will at least come over and speak to you. I've been a restaurant manager for years in fine dining and the best person to hire is somebody who likes to dine at your establishment. Show them you like the place and really want to work there. And bring a pen when filling out an application.... if you don't, there's a good chance they won't even look at your resume/application.
Reply:well maybe you should call back...its slow season(well at least in Florida) for the restaurant business...when you drop off applications ask to speak to the manager...if they are not there ask for their name and call em in a day or two..

  • Please i need help this is do mon. for math and if i won't get it right i'll get a 0% i am already 68%

    A flower shop charges a $10 delivery fee and $1.50 per rose.

    a. Write an expression that can be used to calculate the total cost for purchases

    'r' roses:__________________

    b. Use your expression to find the total cost of 2 dozen roses:

    please help!!!!!!!

    Please i need help this is do mon. for math and if i won't get it right i'll get a 0% i am already 68%
    A. 10$ + R x 1,50

    10$ , because you'll have to pay that without buying any roses.

    and 1,50 x R because the number of times you buy a rose (R)

    Determines how much you'll have to pay

    B. 10 + (24 x1,50) = 46

    36+10=46$

    You'll have to pay 46 dollars for 2 dozen roses
    Reply:10 + 1.50r, let r = # of roses

    2 dozen roses = 24 roses

    so plug in 24 for r in the equation

    10 + 1.50(24)

    10 + 36

    46

    so it costs $46 for 2 dozen roses
    Reply:a. 10+1.5r

    b. substituting: 10+1.5(24)=10+36=$46

    $46
    Reply:The total cost is: $10 plus $1.50 for each rose purchased

    So, if r roses are purchased, the total cost, C, is

    C = $10 + $1.50 x r.

    If 2 dozen ( that`s 24) roses are purchased, then:

    C = $10 + $1.50 x 24, so

    C = $10 + $36, so

    C = $46.

    Hope this helps, Twiggy.
    Reply:a. $1.50r +$10

    b. $1.50(24) + $10 = $46
    Reply:Perhaps you should start working a little harder in Math. How are you going to pass the test if yahoo answers gives you the assignment questions?

    Sigh anyway,

    a. cost=1.5*r+10

    b. 1.5*24+10=$46
    Reply:a: 'r' roses: $10 + $1.50r

    $10(delivery fee) plus r times $1.50

    b. 2 dozen = 24 roses = 'r'

    $10 + $1.50 x 24 = $10 + $36 = $46

    do u understand(: if not,ask again,i'll explain
    Reply:P(for r roses)= 10+(1.50)r

    P(12 roses)=10+(1.50)*24

    =10+36=$46 ans
    Reply:a) since there is always a $10 charge that number does not change. each rose costs $1.50 so that is where your variable will go:

    cost=10+1.50r

    b) plug in 24 where there is an 'r':

    cost=10+1.50(24)

    cost= 10+36

    cost=$46
    Reply:The answer is quite simple. Since the delivery charge is always $10 you have to add that to the total amount for the r flowers so:

    n = 1.5r+10

    where n is the total amount of money owed.

    dozen= 12

    so answer b. is n= 1.5(r)+10

    =1.5(24)+10

    = $46

    Any one know?

    roughly how much a red rose costs in most flower shops?

    Any one know?
    About $12-$15 but if you giving it to someone special it shouldn't matter how much it is

    What kinds of yellow or white flowers are there that I could put in my hair for an updo?

    I want a large(er) flower to put in my hair ....for a dressy event, with a raindforest theme...my dress is indigo, so I was thinking white or yellow would be lovely..just not sure WHAT TYPE of flower would work/would they have them at a floral shop??

    What kinds of yellow or white flowers are there that I could put in my hair for an updo?
    If you're planning on using a real flower, I'd suggest seeing an experienced florist in your area. S/he can tell you what is seasonal and affordable and/or what would look best for you. For some people, if they have a round face, a really big flower, like some lillies, can be perfect. For some people, if they have a tiny, elfin face, a really big flower, like some lillies, would simply overwhelm and look horrid. Take your dress with you!

    If you're planning on wearing a silk flower, some florist will still handle these. If not, you can still get the florist's advice, and you can go and buy that silk flower elsewhere.

    Best of luck!

    Reply:Magnolia! They are big, white, hard wearing, a bit waxy so they won't wilt and leak goo in your hair, and they look tropical!

    If you can't find a magnolia, try a peony. They are also big and hard wearing and they should be available almost anywhere this time of year.

    I would avoid lillies because the pollen stains clothing and skin.
    Reply:White tullips are pretty, lillies, white roses or carnations, baby's breath is nice as well (that would probably used as a filler if you want something larger) White hydrangea's also look very nice, those are pretty large though. If you want to put those in your hair, you'd have to find one the right size. Daisies and orchids also look very nice :)
    Reply:u could consider using a yellow rose or yellow iris along with some babies breath. the iris is big and delicate and the rose depending on the type of rose it is determines the size. the rose would be more sturdy
    Reply:Daisys, or marrigolds, idk, sorry trying my best
    Reply:White Water Lily, Big daisy, Golden Yellow Calla Lily. Any of these would look nice. Hope i helped (:
    Reply:Daisies
    Reply:white orchid or lillie
    Reply:daisies, babies breath
    Reply:white lily's....they are thee prettiest. try it out and you will l.ove it!

    Is it cheaper to go into a store to buy flowers or order them online.?

    I need to have them delivered in my area on Monday. Could I get a better deal if I actually go to a florist's shop as opposed to picking them out online?

    Is it cheaper to go into a store to buy flowers or order them online.?
    Online, http://www.flowersbloom.com is good
    Reply:I always will support the local florist over an online retailer. I've been burned every time with poor quality flowers purchased online/over the phone. From now on I'll only purchase what I can see, smell, and hold.
    Reply:i'd say it would be better to go into a store. that way you could see what your buying and you dont have to pay shipping! =]

    7.8/1.8 ? 23.4/5.4

    7.8*5.4 ? 23.4*1.8

    42.12 = 42.12

    --------------

    $1.36/3bars = $0.45/bar

    You can finish the comparison.

    -----------

    same process as above

    ------------

    ratio R:S = 560/765 = 112/153
    Reply:True:

    7.8/1.8 = 23.4/5.4

    78/18 = 234/54

    13/3 = 13/3

    Brand B is cheaper:

    Brand A: $1.36/3 or $0.45 1/3

    Brand B: $1.38/4 or $0.34 1/2

    False

    15/4 = 75/28

    Ratio of Radio Flowers to Sifter's is 112/153 or 73.20 40/153%

    = 560/765

    = 112/153

  • Any ideas for Feng Shui bedroom style and where to shop???

    I have dark red comforter,/2 dark red shams, 2 grey suede pillows as accents, wall divider w/ pictures of Japanse flowers and trees in background, 2 paper lanterns and a huge frame of a single red flower. I feel I'm missing something.

    Any ideas for Feng Shui bedroom style and where to shop???
    I would add a few plants.

    Other options are a water feature or a small sand box, maybe with cactus or a succulent plant. A rug would be another option.
    Reply:maybe you should check whether wood and fire element energy is favorable or unfavorable to you 1st.

    It is not recommended to have live plants in the bedroom. keep it as pictures ;)
